Gaviscon Four Pack
Process
Educational Design Project
My goal was to find an existing package and redesign it to reduce its environmental impact. I chose to work with Gaviscon's four-tablet pack, which uses the same amount of packaging as the 18-tablet pack. I reimagined the four-pack in a twist wrapper reminiscent of a candy wrapper. The original box contained most of the medical information. I addressed the challenge of limited space by printing the medical information onto a strip of thermal paper and including it inside the wrapper. I relocated the branding, product description, and barcode to a sleeve affixed to the wrapper. This packaging reduces material use compared to the current Gaviscon four-pack, prioritizing sustainability.
