Gaviscon Repackage
Package Design
Process
This is the outcome of a package redesign project meant to challenge packaging trends and spark ideas for new ways to reduce packaging’s impact on the environment.
My goal was to reduce the packaging used for a four-tablet Gaviscon pack. The biggest obstacle in this project was the large amount of medical information on the original package. The spirit of this project was to challenge otherwise unchallengeable ideas, so I put the tablets in a polyethylene twist wrap, like candy, and then moved the Gavascon branding to an outer sleeve. The medical information is now on a pamphlet inside the plastic twist wrap looped around the tablets.
